Learning Conference Award Sept 20-22, 2023

The Scranton Area Community Foundation hosted the 4th NEPA Learning Conference Sept. 20-22 with more than 200 participants from 90+ nonprofit organizations. New this year, was the Nonprofit Excellence Awards, peer-led, meaning registered conference attendees nominated and voted for the winners. We are honored to share that UNC won Nonprofit of the Year and Collaborative Project for the RISE program with partners, The McGowan Fund, Johnson College, and The Institute. We would also like to congratulate UNC’s Director of Community Education, Terilynn Brechtel who was nominated for the Rising Star Award and UNC’s other nominations in the Collaborative Project category for our Rental Assistance collaboration with Catherine McAuley Center, Catholic Social Services, and Valley Youth House; and Scranton City Pride 2023 collaboration with NeighborWorks and Scranton Tomorrow. A huge thank you to the Scranton Area Foundation and our peers for the recognition. Congratulations to Nonprofit Excellence Awards Recipients NEPA Youth Shelter and Ryanne Jennings, Rising Star Award Recipient and Executive Director of the Wayne County Community Foundation.
